Flourish: Mental Health

Jo Morton-Brown works as an Emotional Health Practitioner, blending numerous roles into one; she is a BACP accredited school-based counsellor, a family support worker, and a provider of training to adults on mental health in children and young people.

When schools across England partially closed back in March 2020, Jo started to support young people via YouTube. Her video’s are optimistic and always from the heart; her desire is to support young people to be the best they can be.

Below is a selection of her videos where she discusses resilience, social media, building self-esteem and the power of kindness. These videos could be used as simply research or as part of a lesson.

Jo is a passionate and committed advocate for the improvement of mental health, especially in children and young people. At the beginning of lockdown (March 2020) Jo continued to support CYP but via YouTube, by creating her own channel called Flourish. The channel has a selection of professional and motivational video’s, aimed to improve the mental health of CYP.
