Nexus Education donates £1,000 to Wallasey School Group

Nexus Education officially launched their NeXworking funding initiative today (9th July 2018) with a bespoke event on the Wirral with the Wallasey School Business Manager’s Group.

The event saw fourteen schools meet providers from across the education landscape specifically picked for their relevance to this individual school group’s needs. This followed weeks of consultations with the school group aimed at identifying how best the 90 minute session would benefit the groups aims going in to the new 2018/19 academic year.
Nexus Education co-founder, Damien Challenger, said ‘’We all know that budget issues are having an impact on schools being able to research and invest in products and services all over the UK. This is just the start of the NeXworking programme aimed at donating over £100,000 directly to schools in the next three years. We are proud of our community and it’s growth to nearly 11,000 educators sharing their ideas and blogs online, in just under twelve months. This rapid growth has meant we can invest directly back into the groups that work with us. Unlike other networking events in the UK, Nexus Education plans on giving schools the means to invest in services we introduce them to by funding via the NeXworking Initiative.’’
NeXworking is a bespoke event, organised by Nexus Education, that introduces schools to pertinent solutions via the medium of small 15 minute networking sessions over a 90 minute period.
These sessions enable the schools to get hands on with solutions to their problems all whilst saving them time from researching, money from travelling to larger exhibitions and making money through the Funding Initiative.
The NeXworking initiative has already seen school groups from Wallasey, Bradford, Durham, Cornwall, Blackpool, Leeds, Newcastle and even Barcelona asking to bring the programme to their schools with the funding meaning that students are directly benefiting from the latest products and services available on the market.
Following the session the Wallasey schools group leader, Sarah Wafer, said ‘’The NeXworking session was fantastic for us. We have managed to save our schools time and money by having relevant suppliers brought to us who specifically fit our needs. I would recommend all school groups run events with Nexus Education.‘’
It wasn’t just a great eye opener for the school group either! The six providers introduced to the school groups were also impressed with the new UK wide events programme.
BlueApple Education Sales Director, Mark Davis remarked- ‘’It was fantastic with a great group of engaged leaders. We’ve done lots of similar events throughout the year and the extra consultation Nexus Ed do with the schools led to much more engagement for us and a high number of leads.’’
Fiona Stygall from SafeGuarding Monitor said ‘’It went really well. As it was so well organised and well paced I had a lot of fun introducing the schools to our system. We will definitely be booking onto the next Nexus event.’’
